Inside Athena: Berkshire’s “Amazing CNA” Dedicating Years to Mass. Residents
SANDISFIELD, M.A. — Juana Martinez joined Berkshire Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in 2018 as a C.N.A. and has found the team and residents keep her smiling.
Director of Nursing Amy Colvin said she would like ten more of Martinez. She said she “is always willing to help” and does so with a positive attitude.
“I love the residents,” Martinez said. “I’m very happy here.”
Martinez said working at the all-male center reminds her of working with her family.
She was selected as Employee of the Month in January and said the recognition made her feel good, adding there are many other team members just as deserving as she is.
“Juana is an amazing CNA I have had the honor to work with her for the last 18 years. She goes above and beyond on a daily basis and always has the best interest of her residents at heart. Juana will also be the first one to lend a hand when her coworkers need it. She is friendly, kind and compassionate. I cannot say enough about how much we appreciate her,” Assistant Director of Nursing Tanya Hadsell said.
