Sheriden Woods Residents Play Ball with Bristol Blues Players

BRISTOL, C.T. – The recreation room at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center temporarily transformed into Muzzy Field in Bristol, a historic ballpark in town home to the town’s collegiate summer baseball league, The Bristol Blues.

The recreation department set up the game where The Crazy Cats played against The Bulldogs where the four players from the Bristol Blues, along with the center’s staff, assisted the residents at Sheriden Woods in playing baseball.

Kevin Kell, Johnny Ruggiero Jr., Jackson Kossow, and Chad Fedeli all from The Bristol Blues paired up with residents to play the game.

Rita Nadeau, Director of Therapeutic Recreation at Sheriden Woods, said this was a fun opportunity for the residents to play a game of baseball with great athletes.

At the end of the tied game, The Bristol Blues players shared their aspirations of becoming professional baseball players.
