We have full-time and per diem openings in Central Supply to join our dynamic care team at Sheriden Woods in Bristol!

In this role, you will be responsible for the ordering of nursing/medical supplies.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical.
• On-the-job training provided in scheduling and medical terminology.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate levels of nursing supplies are available for staff.
• Contribute to and promote resident and family relations.
• Collaborate with staff on purchasing of needed supplies.
• Seek to meet all staff/patient/resident supply needs within scope of budgetary parameters.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
• Must be able to type 50 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.
• Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
• Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
• Is proficient in composition of written communication.
