SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in this state.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
• Must act as the liaison between medical providers and Athena facilities and assure detailed communication of all necessary pre-admission information in a timely manner.
• Must have knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance plans, and their respective coverages.
• Must be knowledgeable in the privacy rules and ensure compliance with facility privacy practices policies and procedures.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing – holding a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in this state..
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a skilled nursing facility or Assisted Living facility.
• Must have thorough knowledge of local, state and federal rules and regulations as they pertain to Admissions.
