We are hiring a Housekeeper to join our dynamic care team at The Tremont Rehab in Wareham! Position includes rotating weekends. As a member of our housekeeping team, you perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department to ensure that our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Education and Experience: No experience necessary, on-the-job training provided. A minimum of one (1) year experience in housekeeping in a nursing home or other related medical facility is preferred, but not required. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure residents’ rooms are neat, clean and free from odor.
  • Wet mops floors daily.
  • Shampoo and extract carpets as per schedule.
  • Attend to spills immediately.
  • Empty trash liners and clean containers.
  • Clean bed and rails with disinfectant.
  • Clean all countertops, windowsills, bedside tables, furniture and over the bed.
  • Strip, seal and refinish floors as per schedule.
  • Clean floor edges and corners to prevent build-up.
  • Clean windows and mirrors.
  • Clean personal items, pictures, decorations, flowers, etc.
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
  • Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
  • Complies with privacy practices and protects residents’ health information.
  • Other duties assigned by managerial team.
Specific Requirements:
  • The ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas, must perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for sanitation, order and safety.
  • Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out and accept new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate information effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.

In this department head role, you plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Therapeutic Recreation Department to ensure that an ongoing program of activities designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interest and the physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident is maintained. Education and Experience:
  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Have at least one (1) years’ experience or training in directing group activity.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity in a health care setting is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assists in plans and provisions of patient care by visiting residents regularly to evaluate needs.
  • Document and report to the nursing department any unusual or significant findings.
  • Encourage residents to take part in activities of daily living that will stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
  • Spend duty time with residents rather than with other facility staff.
  • Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.
Specific Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

In this department head role, you are responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the Rehab program within the facility. You manage and direct staff in the provision of program services to patients, residents, and clients. Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s, as required for initial professional preparation, in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions required.
  • Current membership in professional organizations at the state and national level preferred.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all Rehab services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Directs and assesses the scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
  • Participates in team meetings to formulate treatment plans, discuss progress and discharge planning, attends family/care giver conferences as needed or appropriate.
  • Reviews therapist documentation practices for clarity, conciseness and consistency with patient outcome goals and payor expectations.
  • Maintains a clinical caseload as needed.
  • Generates and analyzes financial, operational and productivity reports as required; contributes to the development of the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Ensures that weekly and monthly statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs are accurate, complete and reported in a timely manner.
  • Maintains sufficient staffing by responding to changes with impact staffing needs; ensure appropriate levels of professional and paraprofessional staff and maintains the clinical skill levels needed for the Program in accordance with budgetary and company guidelines.
  • Supervises program staff in daily program operations and clinical activities; monitors staff efficiencies and routinely provides feedback.  Continuously promotes interdisciplinary, clinical reasoning skills and best practices within rehabilitation.
  • Initiates the coordination of program development activities with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Medical Director and other department directors for the purpose of introducing new and relevant services for the persons served and the community.

  • Working knowledge of modalities of treatment for substance use disorders in the community to facilitate appropriate discharges (detox programs, residential treatment, IOP/SOAP programs, MAT, individual therapy and self-help programs).
