As an AR Assistant, you assist in the day-to-day accounting function of the facility in accordance with current applicable accounting and cost reimbursement principles relating to the long-term care operations, and as may be directed by the Director of Financial Services or Administrator. Experience & Education:
  • Must have, as a minimum, six (6) months experience in bookkeeping or accounting practice.
  • Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Accounts Receivable Assistant job descriptions.
  • Discuss billing situations with residents and/or responsible parties including Director of Finance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records and reports, including all accounts, journals, deposits, ledgers, etc.
  • Maintain accurate census data.
  • Secure all cash and valuables on hand, per policy.
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
  • Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies.
  • Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions.
  • Contribute to and promote resident and family relations.
  • Is knowledgeable in Privacy Practices to protect residents’ health information.
Specific Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
  • Must possess the ability to carry out assigned job functions that are necessary for assisting the Director of Financial Services in collecting, billing and maintaining Accounts Receivable.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff, based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
  • Maintains the cable/phone billing upon admission and monthly thereafter on an ongoing basis
  • Maintains and follows up on all coinsurance receivables.
  • Maintains and follows up on all applied income collections.
  • Completes Medicaid redeterminations when applicable.
  • Back-up for the Payroll position.
  • Is knowledgeable in various payment sources as needed and assists resident and families.
  • Is diligent in collections.

In this department head role, you are responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, marketing, and operations of the rehab program within the facility. You manage and direct staff in the provision of program services to patients, residents, and clients. Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s, as required for initial professional preparation, in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure by the Board of Allied Health Professions required.
  • Current membership in professional organizations at the state and national level preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of clinical experience required.
  • One (1) to two (2) years of supervisory experience with multi-disciplines preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that the quality and appropriateness of patient care meets or exceeds company and industry standards and ensures that all Rehab services are in compliance with state and federal legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Directs and assesses the scheduling of patients/residents for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care.
  • Participates in team meetings to formulate treatment plans, discuss progress and discharge planning, attends family/care giver conferences as needed or appropriate.
  • Reviews therapist documentation practices for clarity, conciseness and consistency with patient outcome goals and payor expectations.
  • Maintains a clinical caseload as needed.
  • Generates and analyzes financial, operational and productivity reports as required; contributes to the development of the annual operating and capital budget.
  • Ensures that weekly and monthly statistics, patient outcome data, and billing logs are accurate, complete and reported in a timely manner.
  • Maintains sufficient staffing by responding to changes with impact staffing needs; ensure appropriate levels of professional and paraprofessional staff and maintains the clinical skill levels needed for the Program in accordance with budgetary and company guidelines.
  • Supervises program staff in daily program operations and clinical activities; monitors staff efficiencies and routinely provides feedback.  Continuously promotes interdisciplinary, clinical reasoning skills and best practices within rehabilitation.
  • Initiates the coordination of program development activities with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, Medical Director and other department directors for the purpose of introducing new and relevant services for the persons served and the community.

  • Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and customers.

We are hiring a Director of Dining Services to join our dynamic care team at Sheriden Woods Health Care Center in Bristol! As the department head, the primary purpose of your position is to assume responsibility for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dining Services Department to ensure that quality nutritional services are provided daily and that the dining services department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner. Education and Experience:
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have completed an accredited course in dietetic training approved by the American Dietetic Association and state agencies.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervisor capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical field is preferred.
  • Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Meet sanitation standards.
  • Must be able to provide point of service meal delivery.
  • Follow all therapeutic diet guidelines including proper temperatures and serving times.
  • Educate department staff in all aspects of dining service functions.
  • Assure the planning, preparation, and serving of all therapeutic diets.
  • Maintain all dining service equipment in a clean, and safe manner.
  • Maintain sufficient inventory according to policy/procedure including emergency supply.
  • Assure that staff is screened for communicable disease.
  • Formulate menu planning with guidelines of dietician.
  • Assure that menus are accurately adhered to and appropriate substitutions are made per policy.
  • Delegate authority to competent staff in his/her absence.
  • Provide dining services for any/all in-house functions.
  • Ensure quality and quantity of all deliveries.
  • Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
  • Respect and take care of facility equipment and is not wasteful of supplies.
  • Contribute to effective communicate and pleasant working conditions.
  • Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures.
  • Is knowledgeable in and ensures staff comply with privacy practices to protect residents’ health information.
  • Continue growth and expand job knowledge.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills.
  • Maximize the potential of each employee supervised and maintain up to date evaluations.
  • Other duties assigned by the administrator and/or regional dining director.
Specific Requirements:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must be knowledgeable of dining service practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing dining services functions in the long-term care facility, including JCAHO.
  • Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, procedures, etc., of the Dining Services Department.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of dining service areas, must perform regular inspections of dining services area for sanitation order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.
  • Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dining services practices.
  • Must be able to read and interpret dining services cost reports, financial data, etc.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university.

  • Prior MDS experience is required.
