The Athena team is led by founding partner, President, and Executive Chairman, Lawrence G. Santilli. He believed in the overriding principle of “Protecting the Quality of Life,” while maintaining a business model of steady, deliberate growth. Those principles have held true since its founding in 1984 as Athena now operates a growing network of 40 skilled nursing centers, assisted and senior living solutions, outpatient therapy services, as well as home care, hospice, and private duty care options spanning three states.
Mr. Santilli is also a registered lobbyist with the state of Connecticut and is widely respected for his financial expertise having extensive experience in the healthcare industry. His experience is often called upon to educate legislators on various long-term care and senior health issues. Additionally, he is the past chairperson of the Connecticut Association of Health Care Facilities and is a Board Member of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association.
