We are hiring a System Director of Physical Plant to oversee our facilities in MA & RI!! This position requires travel between our facilities in Massachusetts & Rhode Island.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must have reliable transportation for travel between various locations.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
  • Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas.
  • Must be willing to work harmoniously with other personnel as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.
  • Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
  • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices with approval by Supervisors.
  • Must possess sufficient mechanical abilities to handle facility maintenance needs when directed.
  • Must complete Work Log at the end of each job at each individual facility and turn into Project Manager for your documentation of work performed at the facility.
  • *May be required to work night, weekends, Holiday’s and out of state if needed and directed by Supervisors.
  • *May be called upon to fill in as directed to cover Physical Plants call outs or transitional periods due to vacations and open positions in that dept. May result in a long duration of time till the need is for filled and then redirected from there. This may include a commute greater than 1 hour from your residence.

Experience:

  • Five to ten years of experience as a long-term care Physical Plant Director.

Education:

  • Engineering Degree preferred, however a candidate with experience (as outlined above) will be considered.
  • CHFM preferred.
