Partners in Dedication - Athena Honors Employees

Athena Health Care Systems held a Partners in Dedication luncheon ceremony on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the Country Club of Farmington for employees throughout the Athena network who reached their 10, 20 and 20 years of service as of December 2017. A total of 108 employees were recognized for their dedication and commitment for providing quality of care to residents and patients.

Many of our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) have gone on to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Registered Nurses (RNs), as well as serve in other management roles in our centers. Throughout our network, it is commonplace that our managers were grown form within: Directors of Dining Services who began as a Dietary Aide, Housekeeping and Environmental Managers who started their careers with us as assistants.

Compassion, Caring & Respect
Athena Health Care Systems hosts and annual Taking Care of Our Own softball Tournament each August. This tournament raises money for eligible employees throughout the Athena network who need additional financial support while they are undergoing cancer treatments. Larry Santilli, President and CEO of Athena said, “the tournament represents the commitment and dedication Athena has to its employees. Through the generous fundraising efforts from employees, raffle gifts and other donations, we are able to provide funding for our employees stricken with cancer.”
